UNE JOURNEE AUTOUR DE LA REGENERATION DES ECOSYSTEMES

Parc Galea - A day dedicated to the regeneration of ecosystems: "THE HEALTH OF SOILS". Radia Lourkisti, Senior Lecturer in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the "Sciences Pour l'Environnement" laboratory at the University of Corsica and the CNRS, will be taking part in this special day on Sunday 28 June at 10.00am. The functioning of living soils and their health play a central role in agricultural production and our food supply. Understanding this enables us to steer farming practices towards greater sustainability... "THE PRECIOUS WETLANDS". Thomas Leydier-Antonini, a research engineer in hydrogeology at the "Sciences Pour l'Environnement" laboratory at the University of Corsica and the CNRS, will be taking part in this special day on Sunday 28 June at 10.00am. Coastal wetlands play a key role in biodiversity, the preservation of drinking water resources and protection against coastal erosion. Through a study combining hydrogeology, ecology and human sciences, this conference explores the functioning of these ecosystems and the potential of Nature-based Solutions for their preservation in the face of growing human and climatic pressures in the Mediterranean. The day will also feature the following presentations: 11.00am: "Agroecology can save us" by Marc Dufumier, Agronomist; 15:00: "Trees: our allies of tomorrow" by Ernest Zürcher, Forestry Engineer; 16:00: "Regenerative hydrology" by Charlène Descollonges, Hydrologist.
