Parc Galea - Public interview with Danièle Bernus Raffaelli, "TRADITION, TRANSMISSION ET FORMATION: L'exemple du Diplôme Universitaire "Musiche è canti nustrali di a Corsica è di u Mediterraniu"". Danièle Bernus Raffaelli, Associate Professor of Music and head of the "Musiche è canti nustrali di a Corsica è di u Mediterraniu" University Diploma at the University of Corsica, will be taking part in a wide-ranging public discussion on Sunday 4 October from 2.00 pm as part of the Sunday meetings at Parc Galea. In partnership with the Institut d'études supérieures de musique Europe Méditerranée in Aix-en-Provence, the Università di Corsica Pasquale Paoli is offering an innovative double degree course in traditional Corsican music. It focuses on tradition, its history, how it is passed on and the creative work that modernises it, in order to train the teachers and transmitters of tomorrow. This public talk will be followed by a lecture at 3pm by Julien Joubert, musician and composer, entitled "All the history of music in an 80-minute piano show". This initiative is part of the PIA UNIversité: pour la Transformation au service des territoires Insulaires méditerranéens, supported by the University of Corsica.
