Law Night 2026: ‘The future of law and finance in the age of AI’. To mark Law Night 2026, the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Corsica, in partnership with Lefebvre Dalloz, is hosting a film screening and debate dedicated to an issue at the heart of contemporary change: the impact of artificial intelligence on society. Monday 5 October 2026, at 3.30 pm, Landry Lecture Theatre – Faculty of Law and Political Science of Corsica. ‘The Future of Law and Finance in the Age of AI’. This event will provide an opportunity to examine the changes brought about by the development of artificial intelligence in our societies, as well as to consider the developments facing professionals in the fields of law and finance. The event will begin with the screening of a documentary written by Sumi Saint Auguste and filmed in five European countries. Through a variety of perspectives and experiences, this film invites us to reflect on artificial intelligence, its uses, its promises and the questions it raises. The aim is to draw on our convictions, our questions and our experiences to better understand the changes currently underway and to reflect collectively on the role that AI might play in our societies and in the legal and accountancy professions. A debate with academic staff. The screening will be followed by a discussion with academic staff from the Faculty, providing an opportunity to bring together different perspectives and disciplines to explore the issues raised by the documentary. Ms Antonia Di Maggio-Grassini, the Faculty’s AI lead, will also take part in the discussion. This discussion will, in particular, address the legal, professional and societal issues linked to the development of artificial intelligence, as well as the new questions that its use raises for the law and the accounting professions. Through this initiative, the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Corsica aims to contribute to the debate on digital transformation and to provide a space for reflection and discussion on a subject that now concerns society as a whole. Join us on Monday 5 October 2026 at 3.30 pm in the Landry lecture theatre for this film screening and discussion, organised as part of the 2026 Law Night.
