NATURE ET PREJUGES

From 09/12 to 09/12.

Lecture: NATURE AND PREJUDICES: Bringing humanity into natural history, Wednesday 9 December 2026 at 2.00 pm, Marc André Selosse. For a long time, we have lived on Earth by making do with the knowledge available at the time: monocultures, pesticides, fossil fuels, plastics… Today, faced with dire health and environmental news, we realise that we must do things differently. Yet the guide to living well in our world lies right before our eyes: we need only observe living things. By recounting natural stories – of microbes, plants and animals – Marc-André Selosse deconstructs the narratives that prevent us from understanding nature, including human nature, and suggests we adjust our actions accordingly. Agriculture, health, the importance of competition or mutual aid, waste, gender relations… We must awaken the positive solutions that lie dormant within the life sciences.
