Festi Ballu in Corti, Everyone to the Piazza! Corti, Saturday 25 July: the Museum Square, music and dances from Corsica and Ireland, quatrigliu, circle dances, set dancing, as well as tangos and pasos. Everyone to the Piazza! The “Festiballu – Festa di u Viulinu” returns on Saturday 25 July in Corte, on the forecourt of the Museum of Corsica. From 4.30 pm, the public can attend a talk on traditional music and dance, followed by Corsican and Irish dance workshops, open to beginners and experienced dancers alike. From 9.30 pm, a grand ball will bring together musicians and dancers for Corsican quadrilles, group dances, Irish sets, waltzes, tangos and pasos. This year’s event will also feature the Fourtouna Trio, who will introduce the audience to traditional Greek sounds. A festive evening celebrating the sharing of Corsican, Irish and Greek cultures.
