The group A Vadina, based in the far south of Corsica, is made up of four singers and musicians united by a shared passion for polyphony. Heirs to an ancestral tradition, they grew up with the sound of songs handed down from generation to generation, imbued from childhood with the deep, unique harmonies that resonate throughout the island. Buoyed by this musical and cultural heritage, they have made polyphony much more than a simple means of expression: it is at the heart of their artistic approach and their identity. Every note they sing is a tribute to the voices of yesteryear that told the story of a people, its joys, its sorrows and its hopes. Through their church concerts, they offer a timeless moment, where the power and emotion of their voices combine with the harmony of guitar and piano. Their repertoire, enhanced by the exceptional acoustics of the venues they play in, is a veritable journey in sound, combining sacred and secular songs. Faithful to their mission of transmitting and preserving our heritage, the A Vadina's singers are committed to bringing this priceless musical wealth to life, sharing it with fervour and perpetuating a tradition that remains as vibrant and relevant as ever.
