The gîte is at the top of a small village typical of central Corsica, at the crossroads of several long-distance hiking trails (GR20, Mare et Mare). The three-hundred-year-old chestnut trees provide the shade and coolness needed to fully appreciate the spring water flowing through the garden. Below the gîte is the Riccionu waterfall, typical of the mountains of central Corsica. Built from local stone using traditional construction methods, this large building combines modern comforts with the prestige of ancestral architecture. All the guest rooms have en suite facilities. The rooms are simple and functional: Classification 1 épi. The ground floor of the gîte contains "La grande salle", which serves as a living room, dining room, music room, games room, luggage locker, storage room for bikers' helmets and boots, the place where ropes, ice axes and climbing boots await their owners before they head off into the mountains, etc. ..... In short, it's a place to live, a place where in winter a roaring log fire crackles in a gigantic hearth, and it's well worth spending an evening in front of a roaring fire telling Corsican stories ..... .....
