Concert by the Group Una Fiara Nova, on Sunday 21 September 2025, in the Church of the Annunciation at 7 p.m. To be performed by: Group Una Fiera Nova and the Sardinian ensemble Tenores de Orosei. The Una Fiara Nova group was founded in 2019 in the Rustinu region of Corsica by the GIOVANNETTI brothers. The group quickly turned to creation, creating and composing music and polyphony based on texts and poetry by renowned Corsican authors (Petru Santucci, Marcellu Acquaviva, Jean Yves Acquaviva, Christophe Limongi, Patrizia Gattacecca, etc.). Made up of 4 members, the group likes to evoke the history of its island, a future that is difficult to foresee but full of promise. Other subjects covered include Corsica's place in the Mediterranean and in today's world, the abandonment of Corsican villages, the richness of centuries-old pastoral trades, as well as ecology and the preservation of a balanced way of life for the present and the future. On 11 April 2023, the group released its 1st creative album, "U focu di a vita" (the fire of life), a compendium of the themes mentioned above. Polyphony is at the heart of the project. The group's creative repertoire is made up of instrumental songs and contemporary polyphony, all part of a revival of Corsican song. A creative repertoire of sacred songs is also at the heart of the project. More than ever, creation is the guiding principle for Una Fiara Nova, which aims to present its musical colour in Corsica and beyond the island's borders... Tickets on sale at the Tourist Office.
