TAVIGNANU TRAIL
Sports/loisirs/sciences
From 09/07 to 11/07.
Discover the secrets of the Tavignanu valley The 33km Tavignanu Trail is an intense experience that immerses you in the raw beauty of the island. The start marks the beginning of an adventure where the hustle and bustle of the city quickly gives way to technical trails and breathtaking panoramas. From the very first kilometre, a demanding ascent of 1,400 m over 6.2 km takes you to aerial views of the Tavignanu valley and the Monte Rotondo range, culminating at 2,622 m. Along the way, you'll be amazed by some iconic sites: the Scandulaghju arch, the crystal-clear waters of the Tavignanu river, and the Padule sheepfolds, steeped in the island's pastoral history. The Bocca Canaglia pass, perched at 1,790m, is a key point on the route, followed by a technical descent to the Sega refuge at 1,100m. The shady paths, refreshing waterfalls and more challenging sections, such as the forest track after the Cogna sheepfolds, offer a perfect balance between effort and contemplation. The last 5 kilometres, in the furnace of Russulinu, will make your epic even more deserving. A triumphant arrival in Corte, passing through its upper town and citadel, will bring your adventure to a close.
