Just as it is with the Sevillanas that the imaginary world of weighted dresses and long fringed shawls is associated. Sevillanas are highly coded dances, whereas Flamenco is a freer art. It can be mixed with contemporary dance, just as it can demand a virtuoso level of technique. In all cases, what dominates is the importance of the "duende", that untranslatable something that gives this dance its strength and grace. The difference between the variants - Bulerías, Soleás, Siguiriyas... - lies in the rhythmic cycle (the "compas"), which requires a certain musical sense. While working as a ballet dancer with the Jeune ballet corse, she was spotted by a Flamenca company during an international workshop. She went on to take classes, run courses and create stage works, notably at the Sol y Luna academy in Aix-en-Provence.
