Sports/loisirs/sciences
From 02/04 to 02/04.
Ballu : Le rapt du sourire / No man is an island. Thursday 02 April 2026 at 6.30pm. COMPANY: LA'GRAVIDA. This shared evening invites you to discover two choreographic perspectives that sketch out the contours of a humanity in transformation, where the body is both a point of anchorage and a vector of openness. Directed by Patricia Portal Gozzi. Cast: Dancers from the Jeune Ballet Corse, island dancers. LE RAPT DU SOURIRE: Le Rapt Du Sourire reflects the journey of a woman on a perpetual quest for existence. Driven by emotions that overwhelm her, she wears and tests masks as if they were mere accessories, running the risk of losing her identity. The notion of identity is explored here through the prism of the social mask, whether worn or used. The starting point for this solo is Carolyn Carlson's famous quote: "I know who you are, but if I define you, you disappear". This brings us back to Gilles Deleuze's notion of "Being in the process of becoming". In a stage space reduced to the bare minimum, the dancer addresses an interlocutor through a computer screen. The space between him and the person to whom he is speaking is both infinite and non-existent. NO MAN IS AN ISLAND: Inspired by the famous poem No man is an island by John Donne (17th century), this solo confronts us with an immobile body that emerges from its torpor and gradually moves in an attempt to connect with the world. In this original dialogue between ancient poetry and contemporary dance, Raphaël Soleilhavoup shows us that we are part of a whole - both sensitive and marvellous - and that our interdependence constitutes our very humanity.
