Sports/loisirs/sciences
From 21/09 to 21/09.
Parc Galea - Public interview with Vannina Lari. "THE TASTE OF THE LAND: a sensory identity? Vannina Lari, Senior Lecturer at the University of Corsica, will be taking part in a major public talk on Sunday 21 September from 2.00 pm as part of the Parc Galea's Sunday meetings. Eating defines us and links us to a specific territory, making the sensory an important part of human identity. Taste is passed on through both culinary practices and knowledge of the land. But the erosion of the human/nature bond is leading to the neutralisation of tastes, flavours and textures. What memory of taste do we have left in Corsica today? Vannina LARI is a senior lecturer (HDR) in Regional Cultures and Languages at the 'Places, Identities, Spaces and Activities' laboratory at the University of Corsica and the CNRS. Her areas of interest and research focus on Mediterranean religiosities and sacralities, mythical narratives and the study of island territories (powers and societies, relations between islands and mainland, anthropology of food and health in particular). This public talk will be followed by a lecture at 3pm by Serge Ahmed, neurobiologist and addictologist, entitled "Le sucre, délice mortel? Conditions and prices for access to the Parc Galea are given in the downloadable agenda or on the Parc Galea website. This initiative is part of the PIA UNIversité: pour la Transformation au service des territoires Insulaires méditerranéens, supported by the University of Corsica.
