Parc Galea - Public interview with Sébastien Quenot "IS CORSICA TOO BEAUTIFUL FOR CULTURAL TOURISM? Sébastien Quenot, Senior Lecturer at the University of Corsica, will be taking part in a public talk on Sunday 5 October from 2.00 pm as part of the Parc Galea's Sunday meetings. Known for its rich cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, Corsica is a popular destination for its identity and authenticity. Now the island's leading economic activity, tourism is still very much focused on seaside and outdoor activities. But is Corsica too beautiful for cultural tourism? Sébastien Quenot is a senior lecturer in regional cultures and languages in the "Places, Identities, Spaces and Activities" laboratory at the University of Corsica and the CNRS. He is responsible for the UNESCO Chair in 'Becoming in the Mediterranean' and scientific leader of the 'Identities, Cultures, Processes of Heritage' team. This public talk will be followed by a lecture at 3pm by Myriam Juan, historian, entitled "100 years ago: the Roaring Twenties".
