Ballu : Iles Danse, Tuesday 09 December 2025 at 6.30pm. COMPAGNIE RAIZ DI POLON, DISSIDANSE NETWORK Choreography: Collaborative Performers : Rosy Timas Tavares, Hélène Taddei Lawson, Luciény Kaabral. With the participation of students from the Performing Arts degree course at the University of Corsica. Sound and lighting: Nicolas Fresi. The island is a geographical, symbolic and imaginary space, a closed world open to all possibilities. Each wave brings with it the eternal beginning anew, annihilation and renewal. From Cape Verde to Corsica, from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic, Iles Danse opens up a dialogue between choreographic styles forged by insularity. The artists build a unique language between traditional and contemporary dance, abstract and expressionist, taking on board students from the Performing Arts degree. From one island to another, a beautiful journey... Rosy Timas Tavares, dancer and choreographer from Cape Verde, is pursuing an international career on different continents. Luciény Kaabral, a Cape Verdean dancer, works with the Pina Bausch Company in Wuppertal. This inter-island collaboration is the fruit of a partnership between the Spaziu Natale Luciani at the University of Corsica and the Dissidanse association.
