Parc Galea - Public interview with Christophe Paoli "MACHINE LEARNING ALGORITHMS AND THEIR APPLICATION TO PREDICTION Christophe Paoli, Senior Lecturer at the University of Corsica, will be taking part in a public talk on Sunday 28 September from 2.00 pm as part of the Parc Galea's Sunday meetings. Among the tools and techniques of artificial intelligence, there are different types of machine learning, each adapted to specific use cases. General operation and applications in the field of predicting time series of environmental data: wind, sunshine, etc. Christophe Paoli is a senior lecturer (HDR) in computer science at the 'Sciences Pour l'Environnement' laboratory at the University of Corsica and the CNRS, and is based at the Faculty of Science and Technology. With almost 15 years' university experience, Christophe Paoli's expertise includes strong administrative skills, acquired as vice-dean in charge of professional relations, director of the IT department and director of degrees. He has also been elected on several occasions to sit on various boards and committees at the University of Corsica, including the Board of Governors, the Faculty Council, the Laboratory Council, the Joint Technical Committee and the Specialist Committee. Seconded to the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs from 2013 to 2021, first in Turkey and then in Poland, he has developed expertise in international cooperation in the fields of higher education, research and innovation, developing and implementing cooperation strategies and dealing with classified and sensitive information in complex multicultural environments. Christophe PAOLI is currently Vice-President in charge of International Relations. This public interview will be followed by a lecture/performance at 3pm by Yohann Thenaisie, neuroscientist and actor, entitled "Who wants to become a Cyborg? Conditions and prices for access to the Parc Galea are given in the downloadable agenda or on the Parc Galea website. This initiative is part of the PIA UNIversité: pour la Transformation au service des territoires Insulaires méditerranéens, supported by the University of Corsica.
