Stonda: LITERATURE FOR CHILDREN – A Comparison of Corsican and Sardinian, Wednesday 7 April 2027 at 6.00 pm, Marina Branca, Alessandro Derrù & Francesca Ruiu. Minority languages experiencing linguistic displacement are facing a breakdown in their transmission within families. Literature for children can become a means of encouraging the transmission of these languages, both at school and at home. This session will provide an opportunity to compare Corsican and Sardinian experiences of writing and the practical use of these materials in various contexts. A session that will take us to Sardinia, featuring Alessandro Derrù speaking on the Sassari dialect and Francesca Ruiu on the Gadduri dialect.
