Company: Darío Bardam, Choreography and performance: Darío Bardam, Music: Ant Comos, Dadi Damas, Lighting design: Alejandro Cedres, Costumes and visual design: Vivien Déniz and Altaria, Video: Alba Monroi, Dramaturgy: Aleksandar Georgiev. Phantom: Phantom is a choreographic piece that explores the figure of the ghost as a strategy of disidentification. The work presents an unstable body, passing through different states without ever settling into a recognisable identity. The dance is constructed in direct relation to the music, and conversely, generates movement that does not represent but rather reorganises perception. From a melancholic perspective, the body remains structured by a loss that is neither integrated nor overcome, but persists as a condition. In a hauntological dimension, what appears is permeated by overlapping temporalities. The pleasure of dancing activates and sustains this process. Extranjero: What does it mean to feel like a stranger in one’s own skin, on one’s own land? This dance-theatre performance invites us to reflect on our identity and our sense of belonging. The planet sustains us all, but does not always allow us to belong fully to the world. A perpetual stranger, the performer seeks a home within their own body—a body that can sometimes become the most hostile of territories when one fails to make peace with it. This solo opens a dialogue between the body, the space it traverses and the being that inhabits it, exploring the possibility that the experience of strangeness might also connect us more deeply to our surroundings.
