‘La Banda’ concert: the Museum of Corsica, in partnership with the Camerata Figarella festival, Friday 25 September at 7.00 pm, free admission. ‘La Banda!’ pays tribute to the repertoire of brass bands and wind ensembles, from Mozart to Verdi, bridging the gap between classical music and folk traditions. For the first time in Corsica, La Banda of the Camerata Figarella brings together an impressive ensemble of brass and woodwind players, including Elisabeth Coxall, Nicolas Arsenijevic, Rose Dehors and Estebaliz Collado. A programme blending the sacred and the secular, inspired by Italian musical traditions and the music of Holy Week in southern Italy.
