L'ART DU COMBAT
Sports/loisirs/sciences
From 03/05 to 03/05.
Parc Galea - Public talk with Coralie Camilli: "THE ART OF COMBAT: how to transform the adversary into a partner". Coralie Camilli, a lecturer and researcher in philosophy at the "Places, Identities, Spaces and Activities" laboratory of the University of Corsica and the CNRS, will be taking part in a major public discussion on Sunday 03 May from 2.00 pm as part of the Sunday meetings at Parc Galea. The aim will be to explore some of the principles of martial techniques (immobilisation, the difference between strength and power, turning the opponent's strength against himself) in order to conceptualise them and show their value in the art of combat. In this way, we will be able to question the fact that mastering power in combat does not paradoxically consist of doing everything possible to avoid using it? This public talk will be followed by a talk at 3pm by Tatiana Brillant, former RAID negotiator, entitled "The art of negotiation: transforming conflict into dialogue". This initiative is part of the PIA UNIversité: pour la Transformation au service des territoires Insulaires méditerranéens, supported by the University of Corsica. Dates: Sunday 03 May 2026 from 14:00 to 15:00, Parc Galea, Taglio Isolaccio. Proposed by : Laboratoire Lieux, Identités, eSpaces et Activités (CNRS / Université de Corse), Mission science avec et pour la société. In partnership with : Parc Galea.
