Conference: This conference analyses the transformations in traditional finance linked to the development of cryptoactives, in particular stablecoins. The rise of blockchain and distributed ledgers is profoundly changing financial transactions and interbank payments. The conference will present the main technological challenges of the tokenisation of finance, before examining the economic and financial implications. It will also address the role of the Banque de France, as a member of the Eurosystem, in supporting these developments and maintaining financial stability.
