Sparghjera : Initiated in 2022 by Universcience, the Printemps de l'esprit critique is a national and international event that promotes critical thinking among all audiences in all regions: "Social inequalities, new technologies, the workings of the financial system, precariousness of all kinds, etc., are just some of the issues that are being discussed. Social inequalities, new technologies, the workings of the financial system, precariousness of all kinds, etc. The notion of money is present in every moment of our lives and cannot escape its false ideas, misleading arguments and misinformation. This year, the main theme of the Printemps de l'esprit critique will be money and its contemporary issues. In this age of social networking and instant access to information, many people believe they can do without medical expertise, thinking they know everything simply by consulting online content. Yet most of this information is poorly explained, out of context or simply wrong. This confusion encourages the spread of unfounded beliefs and risky behaviour, particularly in crucial areas such as mental health, reproductive health, diet and nutrition, physical activity, chronic pain management, infectious disease prevention, blood donation and vaccination. Self-medication and haphazard diagnoses are becoming commonplace, exposing individuals to sometimes serious consequences. Against this backdrop, it is vital to improve access to reliable, clear and critical scientific information, so that everyone can make informed choices about their health. As part of the Printemps de l'esprit critique 2026 (19 March - 5 April), this project focuses on the two key themes of critical thinking through the prism of social inequalities and access to scientific information and health. Because these issues concern everyone, regardless of their standard of living, the project is organised around a day of events for the general public on the theme of precariousness in all its forms.
