"Quand viendra la vague" tells the story of Letizia and Mateo, two lovers trapped at the top of a mountain as the waters rise inexorably. They play the game of who deserves to be saved in a destroyed world. They try to imagine the future together. But how do you do that when you don't agree on anything? Through role-playing, they confront their visions of the world, their pasts and their grudges. This apocalyptic fable explores responsibility, forgiveness and inheritance in an island setting exacerbated by climate catastrophe.
